West Virginia K9 Search and Rescue, Inc brings 35 years of experience in the search and rescue world.
Occasionally when funding allows, our team will host a class or a seminar.
We do our best to provide our first responder community the opportunity to attend free of charge.
however, sometimes there may be a small charge to cover costs.
If possible, continuing education credit hours will be approved.

2023 CLASS / SEMINARS
The In's and Out's of Search and Rescue
Who Is Invited?: Your department or organization, whether it’s 1 person or the entire department/team!
What Will You Learn?: The basic fundamentals and operation to a search and rescue event with the use of K9’s, an overview of Lost Person Behavior, a brief look at topographical maps in conjunction with Sartopo and an overview and considerations for logistical needs for full scale operations!
When & Where Is This?: November 4th, 2023 @ The WV State Fair Grounds located in the WVU building & class will be from 8am-5pm with a lunch break (lunch not provided)!
Cost Of The Class?: This class is completely free, no cost to you or your department or organization!
Why Is A Class Like This Important To You And Your Organization Or Department?: This class will give you the general knowledge and understanding of how a Search & Rescue event should be conducted in the field when using volunteer organizations and canines in conjunction with multiple state and federal agencies on scene and how to establish command and determine search strategy!
Instructors For The Class:
WVK9SAR & Tyler Co OEM will bring you a set of experienced instructors and handlers with approximately 51 + years of combined experience and boots on the ground knowledge!
